A title I now hold. Interesting how it happened – perhaps one day I’ll write that down too. So here’s the thing – I have my own ideas on how to approach this, on how to secure the environment. I’m not the expert – yet – but I’m getting there. I have just bought RUSecure “Information Security Officer’s Manual”, just in case. This won’t be expensed, that’s how serious I am about this. I’m watching message boards; twitters; following Core Security bulletins and McAfee and Symantec guides. I have an eye on the hacking community and really, really wish I could get to the security seminars. That is the frustrating part. I put so much effort into the discovery of what security is all about. Even as a Director I took the OSCP hacking course and exam (I passed by the way!).  What more dedication can there be? I am not perfect – I definitely do not know it all – my scripting sucks but – BUT – I am a very quick study; I am very good at what I do, and I DO NOT fail. That being said – HOLY CRAP – there is SO much to learn! It’s scary fun – anyone wanna help?
